Will the approved logos be visible even before July 22nd on nominations page or will they appear after the start of nominating?

They don't appear until nominations begin.

A reminder: your logo can contain any of the following text:

AnimeMusicVideos.org
Anime Music Videos
A-M-V.org
AMV

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to have a "AnimeMusicVideos.org" + "AMV" combo. Just throwing that out there.

Just curious, if it's not breaking any rules (and thus can be made known)...

How many submissions have you received so far and how many of them were accepted?

33 attempted entries so far
24 have been accepted

Remember that I'm not approving/rejecting on the basis of quality. As long as an entry doesn't break one of the rules, it gets put through. For the ones that I reject, I always encourage the members to resubmit with the disqualifying element corrected.

Two more weeks to enter! If you haven't thought about your entry yet, now's the time to start. If you have friends who are good with graphics, then badger them to enter. This is your chance to help out and make a lasting impression on this website!

^_^ Questions:

1. Are we allowed to use SVG filters to add effects to a vector logo?

2. Is the size of the current logo on the main pages (vs. the logo on the forum pages) the size that the new logo will be as well? There seems to be a lot of empty space surrounding it at the moment, which I sort of assume is because of the height of the logo's flower petals.

3. Can the logo have any partially opaque areas?

4. Is there any chance of a-m-v.org t-shirts being offered someday (soon)? I would jump through numerous hoops to obtain that sort of thing and it's been bugging me for awhile, so I figured I'd ask while people have logos on the brain.

Gloryquestor has made his own AMV T-shirts O.o

I would find it amusing to have T-shirts for all the logos though. that way people can choose the one they like best?

I even thought of doing that, but wasn't sure it was kosher. I seriously need another anime-centric t-shirt or two and it would be fun to "advertise" the 'Org at a con. Or at least advertise that I'm into AMVs...

That'd be neat, though it might be more expensive to have a bunch of designs printed on t-shirts rather than just one. It might increase t-shirt "sales" (or whatever), though, since if people were confined to only one logo design they might not go for a shirt. On the other hand, if a new design was forthcoming every year, it might cause folks to make more than a one-time purchase.

I kind of suspect the whole t-shirt thing would be far more work than it's worth....

could set up an account on one of those sites that dont print the shirts till they are ordered O.o and have various logos to choose from

Yeah, if considering ordering more logos, it would be wiser to let people know they can choose and then order the logos by their popularity from the preordering.
