I F#(%ING MADE THAT! MEP {Interest Gauge}

This forum is for the announcement, organisation and discussion of Multi-Editor AMV Projects.

Well, generally the idea is awesome. And I think it would work outpretty interesting if good editors were also good musicians. But since the music is the basis of every good amv I hardly doubt that this project does have a realistic chance. At least I don't know much people on the .org that actually make decent music.

But I'm curious if you guys acttually get the project running so I'll be observing. ;)

Yeah, i guess that should be ok. It's worth a try if nothing else :D

Well jeepers, I WONDER where i could find a good editor that also is a good musician ...lol
But seriously, any help you could offer would be appreciated :)

if By screamo you mean you screaming into a mic, that isn't screamo. That's you screaming

This is Screamo dumbass http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=98961682

I hate people who generalise Genres to such a basic form. "emo means anything with sad meaning" Not fuckign true. I'm gonna stop now and not go on a fucking music rant for the thousanth time and instead tell you I may Participate in this.

Screamo.. screaming to clean vocals that revolve around some sort of depression or lost love.. you cannot deny it.

I've had a hugeass argument with some retard on last fm about the definition of screamo a while ago  Absolutely hilarious.

but Anyway, Screamo actually began as a more aggresive form of emo and has currently moved to a mix of post-hardcore and metalcore O:

The Most significant characteristics are definitally the screaming vocals, but just screaming into a mic doesn't make a song 'screamo'. The Lyrics have absolutely Nothing to do with the genre either.

Good job everyone; turning this thread into one of those gerne fight type of conversations. You know I'm pretty good at this to but I guess this thread deserves better.

Anyway. Guy07:

I'm not such a good musician first of all. And second it'll take a while to write and record something for this project, and since we would need enough people to start off I guess it's more or less impossible unless you know enough ppl that you can ask, and it also depends on what you think of as "music"; cause using something you wrote in Guitar Pro or something midi might also be considered however it's actually just distractive and not music imo.

Well we already have about four people expressing interest at least, 4/9 isn't bad. And like i said at the beginning, I know this isn't something that's going to get done in a few months, I'm looking at about a year total (no point in setting unrealistic goals).
I'm still working out the technical stuff and it would be about a month before i really get this rolling, so that gives people lots of time to ponder stuff over.
Hell, i haven't even started plans for the intro yet. This is just a interest gauge, and since people are showing interest, i'm gonna go ahead with it. :D
Just don't expect the actual thread to show up anytime soon, lol.

Also, I'm considering adding a new aspect to this project:
Collaborations are allowed too. Basically, you are allowed to work with another org member to create the song (say you need somebody to do vocals, or maybe you know somebody who plays piano and ask if you can work that in.) You can also EDIT THE TRACK TOGETHER IF you are collaborating on the song. Say you choose to do a 1 minute track, you can edit the first half and your partner can edit the second. No reason for this so be a solo artist only project, right? :D

what if i just steal my husband's music? does that count?

Hm ... I'm trying to keep this editor based. If you were involved somehow in making the song that's fine .... but if it was just him then no (unless i change the rules later).

And for the last time: THERE IS NO STYLE PREFERENCE!
I don't want this to be just one style of music, it want it to be a mix. Don't worry about it 'fitting in'.

haha i gave him sexorz after he finished making the song, doesn't that count for anything? (did some beta testing perhaps?)

lawl... no stress, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't really want to be apart of this mep... I'm just giving you a hard time...

and no, he can't join your mep... he's like busy and shit.
