YOU'RE disappointed, how do you think "I" feel. I'm the ONLY wargamer on this site I bet.

For the record, if you think playing Call of Duty (or virtually anything remotely like it), or something referred to as a shooter, or played on a console, you're not a wargamer.

There are no wargames for the most part on consoles. And very few on the PC.

Sigh. And most wargamers, well you likely don't likely really even want to know them (bad reputation for not being very sociable).

False. Just ask me and Orwell. :P

Orwell is a Paradox Games whore lately, and I'm a simulation propellerhead who's gradually expanded into mostly-tactical PC-based wargames as well. Lately been trying to learn the way their paper ancestors work.

Also, I found wargamers to be a VERY sociable crowd. Don't know where you find your wargamers, but mine have largely been a cool bunch if you're fine with mostly older, conservative, military-loving dudes.

(A probably-known fact around here - my military game hobby takes up several times more of my interest and time than AMVs do).

Sorry, that's not gamers. That's everyone on this org. But close.

EDIT: Okay...I'll take that back. Both amvers and gamers have similarities in the fact that they're both unsociable.

I'm the only competitive fighting game player on this website, I'll bet.

Interesting.

But.

Paradox makes/produces mainly shit. To compare, Paradox is the boochsack of wargaming :)

Name some of your tactical favs. I'm just curious if we have common ground.

I've been with board game wargaming since the beginning.

I wonder if we are using the same definition of "socializing"? :)
