Vocaloid MEP

Postby neorose » Sun Apr 20, 2008 12:20 am

Hello all

So I was lurking around youtube the past few days and found a new love(obsession) for this new program that came out that is kinda cool. Anyways I have found a tone of Hatsune Miku vids and songs from that program and thought it would be cool to do a MEP to them. It would be something cool to see and hear and just thought about throwing that out there for anyone. Ok im done thats it.

S/he was just offering an idea, NerdStrudel. Read more closely, please. This is really just an interest gauge for a MEP that s/he might not even be running. It doesn't need a ton of bells and whistles yet, so please refrain from sarcasm just because you personally expect a full-on tech list with every detail fleshed out.

On that note, I've heard some of the Vocaloid stuff, and although it's interesting, a lot of the "official" songs sound the same and the fanmade ones are really so-so. It's a cute idea, though, if you were to do a shorter MEP. Maybe just a few songs with shorter segments.

it would totally work for a shorter MEP, I myself happen to love the vocaloid Hatsune Miku and I've heard about all the fanmade songs of her there are on Nico Nico and jewtube.

Nerd: grow up

For you two bastard's information I wasm't talking about the fucking technical aspects and whatnot I was wondering what the MEP was actually about. I didn't know vocaloid was a band or artist or whatever. If the fucking OP woulda said that it woulda clarified greatly. I was asking the same thing Jaddzia was asking, I just asked more sarcastically so lay the fuck off.

Asking that from Nerdstrudel is like asking anyone else to grow down.

Please refrain from name-calling as well. It indicates your true mental age. Furthermore, if someone had started a Linkin Park MEP, you wouldn't have asked about the content because it's a given that everyone knows who the band is. Vocaloids may not be overly popular, but they do have a large following, so don't blame the OP for not going into more depth on a matter that s/he probably assumed was a fairly well-known concept. If that doesn't do it for you, then consider this: most people who join a MEP are already familiar with the concept or music. Again, the Linkin Park example: people who don't like or don't know the band aren't likely to join the project. Thus, if everyone joining is a fan of the band, what explanation is required?

The fact is, you're rude, it's unnecessary, and I can prove time and time again why you should take your own advice and "lay the fuck off."

I admit that i'm, by default, an ass for some reason, but still.. In this case he coulda given more info as to whether or not he was gonna have a certain concept or at least like.. linked to vocaloid info, You can't tell me that Vocaloid is so well known that it's basically common knowledge. I also admit that maybe before being an ass I coulda looked up what exactly vocaloid was, and now that I have I actually think this would be a pretty cool project potentially, so good luck to you if you even get this off the ground.

Hello all

Um I think a few of you guys need to calm down. Ok First off im a he(I know the name does not really say what gender I am). Second thing is what Vocaloid is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid. And now for the tech aspect of the MEP...the truth is I dont have any experience running a MEP never mind the fact that I have yet to make and post an AMV in the last 10 years. All im good at is running a AMV segment a a con. As far as songs that have been made using this program well there are no less than 30 good one and about 5 great ones and thats just using Hatsune's voice. My main issue with running a MEP is that the only thing I would be good for is judging vids to see what would be good or not to use, I lack all tech knowledge of the hole process So if someone want me to run it and someone wants to be my tech advisor then thats cool. I could then set up tracks and deadlines. But ya most of the tracks would prolly be up beat or techno type songs. Ok...ok

From here:
Wikipedia wrote:Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody.

See Hatsune Miku sings the ending theme of Keroro Gunsou - "Kurutto Mawatte Ikkaiten".

I pick that one 'cuz it's probably my favorite. ^_^

Also, just because the song seemed to become a fad on the tube for a while, see Hatsune Miku sings "Levan Polka".

Somehow I find it rather hypnotizing. @_@

But yea, that's pretty much what Vocaloid lets you do.

EDIT: For the record, there are Vocaloids other than Hatsune Miku. There's like 7 or so that I know about.
... yea ...
