Hooray! This is a futuristic anime where a virtual reality has been overlaid onto actual reality, altering it slightly. Anyone with special glasses can interact with the creatures in this virtual reality, which includes cyber-pets and "illegals". The latter of which are hunted down and destroyed by the future's robotic version of border police.

I really dig the animation and character design in this. I've heard it compared stylistically to Serial Experiments Lain and a Ghibli film. I can see both, especially the Ghibli comparison. I've only watched the first episode, but it's a great change of pace from the typical anime conventions.

Well, its alright. Certainly not living up to all the hype, that's for sure. Though I hope that will change.

Only thing I find interesting however is only the two "pets" :P The dog and the...the...thing that rescued the dog.

The main character girl annoy me, because she seems like the typical stereotype of main lead girl that is not violent. Sort of spacy and push-overy and all.

Meh...might get better. Still, I was dissapointed.

But the pets rule! :P

Oyaji
Maybe it impressed me more because I hadn't heard anything about it before seeing it. I thought it was head and shoulders above most first episodes, which usually bore me to tears

What an awesome anime! It's even better than what I thought it would be. The graphical representation is beyond Matrix. Truly an underrated anime.

Wow, this anime was so good. I'm surprised there are only 5 posts on it...

I found the ending to be a little cliché but as a whole this series makes it into my top favorites. I hope it gets picked up soon.

I really do have to agree. It's one of the best if not my best anime for 2007. The animation is fluid and character style is unique among the current crop. Furthermore, the theories and story in it are exceptionally well written with some episodes being Blockbuster quality.

Popularity wise, the Org is not too different from the *Chans. DC doesn't get a lot of talk and coverage, but the people that have seen it, most like it. This would be the one set for this year that I would buy.

I've seen a couple of episodes of this and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's as good as Lyrs says it is. Definitely one to look for.

Wait until you see Isako do some asskicking and then later on, episode 11( or 12?). There's even a Free Willy episode.

How the hell did I not realize how awesome this was a long time ago? Thanks to Niotex for getting me to dig out the eps that I had filed away for later. Currently on like ep 7 or 8, will probably watch the whole rest of it in one sitting this weekend. <3 this show.

This one is so great! "WOAH, IT'S AN INTERPLANETARY ATTACK!" made me omfg rofl. Really an outstanding show which will get a special place beside Ichigo Mashimaro (same animation style) and Animatrix ^^

the only downside to Dennou Coil:
no sequel
Real Drive is about as close as you'll get for this season.
