Which character is your role-model?

Postby Bushido Philosopher » Sun Nov 10, 2002 2:21 am

I've heard posts from who's the coolest. who's the sexiest, and so forth, but I've never seen one with "favorite role-model". So here's one that I created.... :D

Even though of course we would never find ourselves in most of these characters' situations (i.e. the mechs, wars, girls, etc etc), their behavior and philosophies still apply to our world.

So mine would have to be Belldandy. She always tries her hardest to solve problems with a favorable end. She never complains, never lies, and especially doesn't flash herself like her other other anime series cousins. And a plus to that, she's absolutely gorgeous.

If I had to pick a male character as well I would pick Hibiki Tokai. He's a real pain in the ass in the beginning, but as he grows he learns the most important thing in life: friends. His story and role in Vandread is something we all should follow. But still no one comes close to Belldandy.

So there... :)

Interesting question, and I quite agree with your answer ^_^

Hmm.... if I had to pick one person... well, I can't really find a better person than Belldandy. She's made to be a "good role model" sort of person.

To follow your pattern, I guess I should pick a male character as well. Well, Otaru (from SMJ) isn't too bad. He tries to do the best he can for those he loves. He's (relatively) honest, works hard. Even though he gets things wrong he does try his best. Now that I think about it, most of the males in anime are not the role model type of person...

Gai Digoji is the perfect role model. He believes in honor and pride with a sense of humor as well as justice. He also uses anime for a blue print for his life style, a modo I have also used.

Damn, man that is a toughie. I'd have to say it is either Ein, Ash, or perhaps Bardiel, but without that part with the broken neck.

I don't really have many characters to choose from since I haven't seen much anime, but...Kagome from Inuyasha and Ukyou from Ranma. Kagome because she makes me laugh and Ukyou because she fights with a giant spatula. Sorry for the crappy reasons :|

Judeau from Berserk. He's like everyone's older brother.

Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Well actually Yami (However you spell that) he's the one you see when Yugi uses the Millenium Puzzle. He's my avatar too ^_^

I chose him cuz he's cool, confident, brave, honest, kind, fair and sticks up for those in need. He's also very wise and doesn't make rash decisions.

So, he's who I pick for a role-model.

Brock (Pokémon), since he's always prepared.
Shinji (Eva), since he's so nice and has to deal with such hard problems.
Kintaro Oe (Goldenboy), since he always ends up doing the right thing.

Happosai. Two Words. Cheap Feels.

Ryouga. Very lucky dirty little pig...

Doc Ido from Gunm (Battle Angel). Kind and a good fighter to boot.

Figure Four from Gunm. Straight human taking on cyborgs and frigging winning.

I'd have to say Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Despite his horrible luck, and being crushed by tragedy again and again, Vash (eventually) somehow manages to bounce back and put the past behind him. He has an inner strength that is lacking in many of the real people I know, myself included.

Well, being quite insane, not-normal, unique, crazy, weird, cheerful, strange, and energetic myself, Excel's been a good role model for me. ^_^

Don't worry, I'm not following her lack of smartness. Just her craziness and cheerfulness and all that good stuff. ^_^

Inuyasha - becouse he's badass (and he runs VERY fast & jumps high)
