Alright, there was a video of mine I made that I wanted to convert to WMV, but when I imported the AVI made with Adobe Premiere into Windows Movie Maker, it cut the video off by 10 seconds at the end. I downloaded different video converting softwares like Blaze Media Converter, AVI to MPEG, NCH Software Suite, Prism Video Converter, and Xilisoft Video Converter. I'm worried that having installed one or more of these interfered with the settings I have for the video codecs or whatever that I installed that came with the AMV App thing. Like when I was installing Blaze Media, I remember it installed some DLL file and some other crap I don't remember. What's the deal?

why do you want to make a WMV? why not compress the file to h.264/mp4 or xvid/avi?

Like she already said: Why .wmv?

Seriously. You already installed your AMVApp and you get everything you need for working.

I think it was never so easy to render a HQ .mp4:

(You´ll need the new AMVApp 3 beta for this smooth way to compress. Here you can download it: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html )

or a good quality XviD:

Forget all the additional programs you´ve downloaded! All you need is AMVApp.
What's the deal?

I don´t think that one of the programs destroyed something on your system. It just seams that it doesn´t work. That´s it.

It's not the WMV I'm worried about. It's installing different video converting software that I'm worried interfered with the settings of the video codecs I installed with the AMV App, and altered the settings or something, and replaced the codecs with different versions.

A site I wanted to host it on. All other formats don't look right in their own way when I upload them, and WMVs are the only ones that come out right when uploaded.

Look! For the unteenth time, this isn't about WMVs! It's about if my codecs could get messed up from installing video converting software like Blaze Media and the others I mentioned.

Install CCCP Combined Community Codec Pac It should have everything there that you need. honestly unless you are installing things that are "replacing codecs" on you you shouldnt have to worry usually they install their own codecs in their own folders otherwise they will tell you that they are deleting or replacing files and that should be a flag to wach for. like when you first installed amv app it said it had to use a folder in use and that it could make a save backup copy of your codecs first before installing the new ones. if there is any conflicts like that it should have alerted you and asked you how you wanted to procede...
