Write my essay for me

Postby Fall_Child42 » Tue Mar 25, 2008 2:05 pm

So i read though that North American union thread and i figure people brought up many great ideas.

do the same for this topic.

"Is prostitution moral?"
Which of course requires us to define morality.

I think that depends entirely on your moral scheme.

What are morals?

Things imposed on you by the people that surround you while you're sill impressionable that make you feel good or bad when you take actions.

You should construct your essay in Robo-Kant format, who would then proceed to destroy the entire world with pure robo-fisticuffs.

Blah. Evil question.

Everything considered moral is respective to different idealisms of morality.

But! I personally say no, it is not. :O

I could spend an hour ranting and raving about all this junk about how it's wrong, anti-biblical and all that stuff, but I'll just say that I personally don't find it "right". Then again, it goes with my religious belief, which I'm keeping firmly to myself.

Please do.

And so according to you, Morality is equated with religious beliefs.

Grossly simplified, they are a set of standards that we use to judge our actions. These standards vary on the individual, societal, and "universal" levels.

So, the definition of morality tells us what we already know - that different people are going to come up with different answers depending on their values (and how these values collide with the values of others).

If you're writing a paper on the morality of prostitution, it's probably best to frame your argument in light of the various views (from theorists, historians, writers, etc.) that you've encountered in your readings. Of course, I'm assuming that this is for a course in which you've had sufficient access to these kinds of documents.

Sadly that's a poor assumption.

Damn Distance Ed courses.

That is correct. I find my morals (defined as: "Things imposed on you by the people that surround you while you're sill impressionable that make you feel good or bad when you take actions.") to be equivilant to my religion. The Bible tells me how I should act and respond in situations.

It is a basic Chrisitan fundamental that sex should be kept within marrige and only within marrige. Therefore, sexual intercourse (as well as masturbation and other forms of self pleasure) outside of marrige is considered a sin and therefore "immorral" to me. It's only safe to assume that prostitution (the selling of sexual intercourse for profit usually outside of a marrige and meant to be a temporary pleasure) is also a sin. That is simply what I believe.

It also goes to stand with the ten commandments. "Thou Shalt Not Covet". Prostitution, in my opinion is a type of coveting. Men or women desire a body other than their spouses (or in the case of single men/women, simply desire to have a body), which is coveting something. Breaking the commandments is also a sin, and therefore is also considered immoral to me.

So yea, I do base a lot of my moral beliefs on my religion.

However, I also have morals based on the life of Jesus Christ. True, He is in The Bible, but I consider him a role model of sorts to me. This Man did wonderful things and still does wonderful things for the world. I try to keep his moral sense in mind when I act in social situations not fully descriped in the Bible. For example, I attempt to try and not judge others on the choices they make in life (alchoholism, homosexuality, ect.), and only try and witness to them if they are willing to listen. So I also base a lot of my morals on religious figures.

Hope that is what you asked for. ^_^
