Episode 21....goddamn that was utterly beautiful!
Everyone has a chance to help out (and that's includes Yoshida as well; well, it's mostly technical support) to defeat Sabrac thanks to Yuuji's pretty ingenious plan. The high point is where they played Mami Kawada's "JOINT" at the climax of the battle.

And it has been awhile since Shana said "Urusai, urusai, urusai!" :o
Next episode is a Christmas Eve episode! Hmmm, makes me wonder what the next 3 episodes are going to be about.

Ep 21 was totally epic, I don't see why nobody else thought that o.O

I'm presuming that Ike will confess to Yoshida next episode (or the episode after) from what I have seen of the first OP.

Yay Shana! I don't know what anybody's talking about since I've only read up to chapter 10 (manga) and seen the first 4 episodes (anime)!

I heard about this anime a long time ago but never got around to watching it until now. I've just finished the first season. These are my thoughts:

Shana is a very likable character for me, having the clear loli traits and the spunky attitude. i believe my favorite scene may have been her verbally beating the shit out of her teachers.
This, however, was the only thing that the show did for me. I didn't like the enemies, and they're attacks were far too cliche-natured. Shana slashing them to bits was not nearly as epic as I had hoped it would be. I went into this anime with very high expectations.
They left several things left unexplained (which I hope are addressed in the second season), and many things just seemed too convenient for plot and threw me off a bit.
I liked the first Opening, but not the second. No real opinion on the Endings.
~de arimasu gets on my nerves.
I like the romance angle between Shana and Yuji, but as in several of Kugimiya's other loli roles, I can't see it going anywhere... ever. She's always so impulsive and vengeful.
The Shanatan and Hecatan specials did nothing for me. I am still disturbed by Yuji's (implied) masturbation scene. They just threw that in there for the lolz i suppose.
The only arc I actually loved was the one with Khamshin in it. He was badass, but he only attacked once and then we never saw him again.

So, with this I am ready to move on to something else. Given my personal review of the series, do you guys think that I would enjoy the second season enough to want to watch it? It would have to make up for a lot that the first season lacked.

Particularly, I want:
1. Relevent-to-big-picture Plot
2. Likable, non-cliche enemies
3. Epic fights
4. More awakened/learned abilities for Shana
5. Khamshin to return
6. Pie

Can the second season deliver?

first half = very slow and even boring

then about ep13 when Pheles comes into it, it really picks up
Yuuji can somewhat fight now
the past 2 eps had badass fights
season 2 is more about yuuji than shana

@ Ishbalan: dude you have no idea how badass Season 2 is. If you can put up with the first 11 or so episodes, you're in the epic zone.

Then again, it's up to you, not exactly my loss

Pretty much I have the same opinion about the first season.Too boring and I even skipped the episodes with Shana's past...
So all in all,I haven't begun watching any eps from 2nd season.Maybe if it gets finished I'll give it a try...but still not in my plans.

Would agree...the first season I liked, but parts were a little slow. 2nd season first few school life/relationship episodes are REALLY slow, but decent. Then, it's like someone decided to make up for all the lack of character development and action, and did a damn fine job of it. But the question is, will it continue to do this, or are we in for an epic fail ending? I really hope they do a season 3 :I

For God's love, how can they make such great episodes?
Ep22 had everything: comedy, romance, drama, suspence... ^^
"Teach me how to make babies!"
I died from laughing there.

About the story progression:
Sabrac is still alive! But it doesn't look like he will be still involved, so... we'll see.

Oh My Freaking God, Hecate stole the Reiji Maigo. O_O

Btw, I had the feeling that the confession plan was going to be ruined. :P
This season is getting more and more awesome. Such a pain waiting an entire week again. T_T
And it's also heartbreaking to know that there are only 2eps left (at least for this season, /me hopes for a lot more once the novels give enough material^^).
I dare you challenge me.
