glitch, different processor, different computer...

Thing is divx/xvid encoded files are BUGGY in editing programs and will work for some people and fail hard for others. They are lossy anyways and might cause you artifacts and such in your video.. (I suggest you clicking those pretty red words for more information).

Obviously those files are not working for you so you need to convert them to a better format like say a lagarith or huffyuv encoded avi (taking short clips because lossless codecs tend to take a lot of file space and attempting to convert whole episodes will probably make your hd crash) which will not give you a single problem because both codecs were MADE for editing (while xvid and the like were made for distribution).

And to make matters worse THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WAS DISCUSSED NOT JUST A FEW POSTS AGO WITH THE FLASHING BANNER. :/

Tranisitions don't work for me properly? I have been trying to use it by following your tutorial exactly, but every time all I get is a really quick flash, instead of the transition playing out properly. I've tried stretching it out over both clips, and it still won't play right

One I merge clip A into clip B, the transition almost seems to disappear on the timeline too

Ok... I have Sony Vegas 8.0 and for some reason I cant mask..
When i go to video event pan/crop, there is no masking option below my video's highlighted position bar. Can I activate masking elsewhere so that I can cut around my image? Please help. thank you!

Ok so i had no problems in Sony Vegas till now, I've experienced with some movie files and all so that i can get used to it. But now I really want to start an AMV and I want to import the music first but it doessn't work for some reason. It's in mp3 format but it just keeps blocking the program even thou all I do is to click on the file. What's with that?

perhaps a different method of ripping it? have you tried this?

also try asking in the audio forums (or asking a mod to split this topic) if that doesn't work.

I didn't try that because if I enter those guides the Trojan virus is trying to enter my PC so I gave up on those links... Thanks for all your help! I hope I'll make it somehow!

I'm trying to find this effect. It's a bit like piano keys but its not white blocks. it's a bit like a part of the video thats got a white piano block key but made lighter so its kinda faded.here's an example,I saw it off someones amv in youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnhYndM8SPQ#

If someone could tell me what that effect it,it would greatly be appreciated and btw I'm using Sony Vegas 8.0

thanks in advance!

P.S.If listing url links is against the rules then let me know I'm just a newbie who's desperate to find out what that effect is!
