Audio not sounding right

Postby Gallup » Fri Feb 01, 2008 6:21 pm

I am currently working on a new video and decided that I would put it on my laptop so that I could send it to people while at college. When I tried playing it on my laptop, however, the audio sounded really scratchy. Another person that I sent the video to noticed this as well and so I figured that it had something to do with the video file itself. I just played the exact same file on my home computer, however, and it plays without any problems at all. No scratchy noises, no nothing. Anyone know what could be causing this? I have played other videos of mine on my laptop before and have never experienced anythything like this.

My first inclination is that this song is real heavy on the bass so your laptop speakers don't handle it as well as your desktop speakers. But humor me, what kind of file is it, what's its audio bitrate, and have you converted it from it's original file type to something else?
