And the award for weird anime goes to ....

Hope this topic isn't redundant.

But I just watched ep 1 of Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge, and man, this show is serious peculiar.

Not sure if I will watch the rest. I'll dump the files on a disc though, and when my son's ever present buddy is over and is bored, maybe I'll subject him to it :)

What would you select as "truly weird anime"?

Well, Tomoya's dream while sleeping next to Kotomi could be called weird >.>

I'll go with Serial Experiments Lain, though it's a more heavy, serious kind of weird...

if you want more of the weird super-hero stuff, i guess Getsumen To Heiki Mina will do. ^^;

Hell, ANYTHING made by Masaaki Yuasa is a massive tripfest. Though his upcoming work Kaibalooks kinda of retro and cute.

Checked out Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, but unfortunately I just didn't care for the art work style. Although the story seemed interesting in an odd sort of way.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei --> everyday life ...

I'd go with Azumanga or Scetchbook
