Considering I'm in WI and stuff I will see if I can finish up something... albiet everything in the works right now is pretty heavy on effects and might be hard to finish up in time.
But I would really like to help out a small local convention.

2 weeks until the contest deadline folks.
I only have 2 videos in my hands right now (more than previously held, but still a bit shy of a contest.)
If you're thinking that you might enter, please do.
If you have any questions you can ask them here, pm me or send an email to amke_amv@yahoo.com

Deadline is coming up this Friday!
I have 11 vids right now, and a few more on the way.
we've gotten a good sum of videos for drama/romance, and a few for comedy.
I think that there's only one entry for action at this point, and none for trailer.
it's not too late, and if I don't get enough videos to fill two hours I'll have to do something drastic...like put IT'S OVER 9000!!! on loop for the rest of the time, or force everyone to do the haruhi dance sequence.

Oh no, lol! If I had known that you weren't getting a lot of videos, I would have tried sending two other videos before the deadline. I'm sure you probably got more than you expected towards the very end though since they usually come flooding in last minute.Kariudo wrote: if I don't get enough videos to fill two hours I'll have to do something drastic...like put IT'S OVER 9000!!! on loop for the rest of the time, or force everyone to do the haruhi dance sequence.
Out of curiosity, are you going to announce the finalists before the convention? I tried looking for the forums on the Anime Milwaukee website to post this question, but can't seem to find where the forums are located on the site.

I actually chose not to host forums on the anime milwaukee site (causes tons of problems from what I heard, and I don't have time for that...oh yeah, I'm the webmaster for the site as well)
I guess I can post the final lineup...
There are 23 videos to be shown (there were a few more submissions, but I didn't get a video for some....got youtube links for a few, and got an episode of darker than black for another)
videos I could find here are linked
Finalists (in no particular order)
Action:
Subsonic -CrackTheSky
Center Forward -Yusf
Mortal Kombat, Fate Style -Yatta Dante
The Evolution of Paradise -Chibiroth
Comedy:
Kaibutsu Polka -Geirr
The Anime Network -Ranmafan477
Jurassic Eva -Ranmafan477
Trailer:
Inuyasha's 300 -Samurai Jake
Universal SOLDIER -Yatta Dante
Gundam Rangers -Yatta Dante (I think this is the one)
Silence of the Vampires -Samurai Jake
Drama/Romance:
Sayonara -MeliChan923
Hypnerotomachia -Yusf
Say It's True -CrackTheSky
Lily-white -Yusf
At The Beginning -DJ Firewolf
It's an Outlaw's Life -Chibiroth
Wolves Going Under -Chibiroth
Two Sisters -Samurai Jake
Utena's Broken Heart Revisited -Ranmafan477
Exhibition:
d!gital me -CrackTheSky (originally submitted to drama/romance, but I didn't think it was...so it got moved to exhibition)
Rainbow Revolution -Vellure
Attack of the Otaku -Chiikaboom
All of the exhibition videos are really good, it made me feel bad that I didn't have a category for them...so, disregarding the contradiction, there may be a prize awarded for "Best Exhibition" as well

Yeah, I've heard that there are all sorts of glitches with them, so it could be for the best. At least I don't feel stupid anymore, lolKariudo wrote:I actually chose not to host forums on the anime milwaukee site (causes tons of problems from what I heard, and I don't have time for that...oh yeah, I'm the webmaster for the site as well)
Thanks a bunch for posting the finalists! I am so happy I got in. You've made my week! I've seen a few of those videos before and they are absolutely amazing. It's sure going to be a great contest. Congrats and good luck to all the finalists!
(I'll try my hardest to get my video posted up here within the next week)
