Anime Milwaukee 2008 amv contest (Winners announced)

Deadline is coming up this Friday!
I have 11 vids right now, and a few more on the way.
we've gotten a good sum of videos for drama/romance, and a few for comedy.
I think that there's only one entry for action at this point, and none for trailer.

it's not too late, and if I don't get enough videos to fill two hours I'll have to do something drastic...like put IT'S OVER 9000!!! on loop for the rest of the time, or force everyone to do the haruhi dance sequence.

Oh no, lol! If I had known that you weren't getting a lot of videos, I would have tried sending two other videos before the deadline. I'm sure you probably got more than you expected towards the very end though since they usually come flooding in last minute.

Out of curiosity, are you going to announce the finalists before the convention? I tried looking for the forums on the Anime Milwaukee website to post this question, but can't seem to find where the forums are located on the site.

I actually chose not to host forums on the anime milwaukee site (causes tons of problems from what I heard, and I don't have time for that...oh yeah, I'm the webmaster for the site as well)

Yeah, I've heard that there are all sorts of glitches with them, so it could be for the best. At least I don't feel stupid anymore, lol

Thanks a bunch for posting the finalists! I am so happy I got in. You've made my week! I've seen a few of those videos before and they are absolutely amazing. It's sure going to be a great contest. Congrats and good luck to all the finalists!

The competition for Drama/Romance was especially close, the winner and runner-up being separated by 0.1 points (the average was taken from all 4 judges who could give a max of 10 points in 5 categories)

...now if I could have only gotten my laptop to play it back without freezing up (the videos must've been too awesome for it to handle or something)

Yah, couldn't actually attend the con, so no prize for me.
