United Canucks Of Mexico? :O

Postby guy07 » Sat Feb 16, 2008 12:34 am

DUN DUN DUN! Do you smell that? It wasn't me, it was the North American Union!
For those who haven't heard, there's suppose to be some sort of plan to merge USA/Canada/Mexico. It will start with the 'Amero' or something, which would be the north american equivalent of tht Euro. Then we would more or less drop our boarders and merge (personally, i don't know if that'll work as technically Canada is owned by the queen).
Now, I don't know how much of this is true, or how much is just conspiracy I just heard it through word of mouth. There's a whole movie about this though. Some people are really pissed, because the Governments were planning it without so much as mentioning it, and even denying it when confronted. Personally, I don't see any problem with merging if it happened. Well, i'm sure there would be problems, but overall it could be interesting if it happened. There's even talk of this being not just a north american conspiracy, but INTERNATIONAL! ZOMG! :O

Thoughts? More info?

Oh yeah, the link to the movie site:

North American Union is happening. I don't recommend the movie zeitgeist though, as it's full of so much bullshit that I couldn't even force myself to watch the whole thing.

A much better film would be America: Freedom to Fascism. It is not 100% impeccable in its facts either, but from what I have researched, much of the facts and statements presented in this film are accurate.

rofl this happens in every thread on every forum when something like this comes up.

John: Guys! The major media/government are LIEING to us! Look at this exposing video/informative essay!

Bob: El Oh El my dear John, here is a link to a website exposing all the myths on the internets as fictitious rants by losers who think this stuff up for shits.

Bob: www.cnn.com

If someone questions the truth of a source, you can't disprove that point with a statement from the source in question.

I just watched that entire video and I must say my stomach is churning with a new-found disgust for the current government...

Wow, this thread couldn't have more perfect timing. A new video interview just came out that all but confirms the North American Union. All the nuts who think its just a conspiracy theory should chew on this for a while.

Also be sure to watch the video that its posted in response to, which has been around for quite a while.

Well, I guess it'd pretty much solve the illegal immigrant issue...

The snopes article is based on several false premises, and in fact, has little to do with the real issue. Snopes says that the North American Union is supposed to be completed by the year 2010, and then goes on to debunk that. I have never heard anyone say that this is all going to be done by the year 2010. All serious debate I have ever heard on this issue acknowledges that it is still many years away from happening.

Snopes has not debunked the North American Union at all, and in fact does not even address any of the real issues at hand. It has simply debunked some cock-eyed interpretation of it that some 12 year old kid likely sent in to the site.

I'm sure as hell going to put a lot more weight on what one of the guys directly involved with the thing tells me, than on what snopes tells me.
