After effects keylight problem

Hi, the tutorial shows you can render an image per frame with keylight effect but when l try it, it fills the pictures as well.

It does not blacken out the background around him/her.

Does it have to be one color?

l'll check it out when l get home from work.

In there he click it green and then it disappears but when l do it, it somehow colours the whole image and doesnt remove it.
