Thank Fungie
What Fungie said. If you knew what Yaoi was, you wouldn't call it 'fagsex' or 'gay porn'. It's written primarly for woman, not gay males. It's more art then sex. Thus your closed mind.

Ummm...no.
Shounen Ai = The happy fun relationship shows like Fake and Gravitation
Yaoi = Hardcore stuff like Boku no, Ai no Kusabi, etc.
Yes it's written by women. Yes it's aimed at a female audience. It's still got explicit sex and is still porn. If you REALLY want to contest it that much, turn on BBC America and watch the "Inferno" episode of a show called "Coupling." That explains the whole erotica/porn setup VERY well.

ok It is meant for chicks and it is a form of art. And it is Gay sex...so let me tally this.
1:Im a Guy
2:I dont Care for the Artistic vision that is Yaoi
3:I dont like Guy on Guy action
and this equals me being Closeminded? you Know that sounds very stupid. But I guess I should of let my opinion at the door since you dont care for it.

{seconds Fungie} The point isn't that you don't like it, the point is you made the comment in the first place. Not worth the bother, really.
In the other points, 'yaoi' is easier to write and say all the time than 'shounen ai' so on most MLs, everything m/m, implied or explict is lumped in there. Yeah, we know that the actual split is more definite, but most people don't, so for the sake of not confusing people we go with the flow. ('Yaoi' isn't even a term used in Japan much in the fandom, it's more widely used here. June or BL (Boy's Love) is more commonly recognized there.)
And the age for an aestheticism.net password is 18+, verified. The site has the rules.

Yaoi only emplies that the relationship is guyxguy. It does not entilrey emply taht there is sex. gravitation is counted as yaoi and yet there is no sex in it. when there is sex it becomes Yaoi Hentai.
As for closemindedness, disliking it is one thing, ranting on and on about how bad it is even though it is your opinion and generalizing it as something evil and porn is what counts as closeminded.

Actually, iserlohn is correct on the difference between yaoi and shounen ai. We just normally don't go into that much detail in general fandom. The category definitions start when we're in the specific fandom of yaoi/shounenai, and then we can get *very* nitpicky on the terms.
Regardless, Anneke's vid is definitely "yaoi" - by the loose definition or the strict one. Very definitely.
And we think we've got the ID password protect solved now. Just a couple more test rounds and then the link can be released.
