I would...but it's my first MEP and I don't want to take on more tracks than I think I can handle.

Just making a few notes...

I've noticed the last few auditions, so thanks to those that have. I do have one request, though. Could we move away from "Destroy Everything You Touch" a little bit? It makes my job harder when everyone seems to audition for that. Not angry or anything, but I'm just noting what Kit did: "Take a Picture" is lookin' pretty lonely and drafty down there. Go bask in its guitar'd, smooth, walking-paced goodness, right-o?

Also, through some crafty negotiation and requests, I have not only managed to score CrackTheSky as my official beta tester (check out his videos and I'm sure you'll agree that he's SO freakin' qualified for it), but I've gotten the other tester hopefuls editing or interested in editing for the project. Double win. Honestly, I trusted all of the guys who auditioned for the spot, so in the end, Crackerz got it mostly because I thought he would be least likely to be convinced to edit instead given the reasons he brought up originally. So thanks to the guys who auditioned, and I'm glad I was still able to keep ya on board. :up:

I'm happy to report that I already have two betas in, and I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of them. This just goes to show that speedy can be great, so don't feel like you need to wait for the last minute to send me something. As I said before, if you finish the whole thing drastically early, I have no issues with holding onto betas and your final for as long as necessary.

Also, I'm imposing a new requirement, but don't worry, this one's pretty easy. When you send me your first beta, please include the original resolution of your game. Whatever you originally ripped/captured at, I want to know. If you can get the aspect ratio as well, please do so, but a lot of programs don't like displaying that in the Properties, so don't worry if you can't. I can figure it out. I do, however, need the resolution at least, so I can check your math and make sure you're giving me technically correct footage. You can check this multiple ways, depending on how far you went with your footage before altering the resolution. Load it into VirtualDubMod and check the File Properties. Load it into Media Player Classic, go to File, and click Properties. Your editing program of choice may have a Properties option you can check. If you're just editing with regular old .avi's, though, you should be able to simply right-click and check the Properties. If you're having trouble finding the resolution for any reason, PM me and we'll work it out.

Hope you're all doing well, and let's get those tracks filled, alrighty? :D

In that case, I'll change my audition request to 19 and 17 respectively.

I'll step up and Take a Picture.

1st - Track 19 (Beyond Good and Evil)
2nd - Track 18 (same)
3rd - Track 9 (Jet Force Gemini - N64)

I didn't see the games listed on the AMV Source list. -_-; Since CodeChrono requested Track 19 first, he might get dibbs.

I'll ask you what capture/edit/export resolutions I should use so it will properly resize from 4:3 to the specified 640x352.

Ack! I could swear that Final Fantasy X and X-2 had been taken in the first project! :O

I'm so sorry, but I'm changing my audition footage to those. (Sorry, I'm fickle like this in all the projects I do... X_X)

So to recap my insane mind....

Audition Videos:

[vidid=154645]

[vidid=146975]

[vidid=149986]

Track Requests: 19-17-16

Fooage: Final Fantasy X & X II

(But I'm generally ok as long as I get one of those three. If prYzm really wants 19, then I'll give it up for one of the other two. I still feel bad for taking the Chrno Crusade footage from the last project we were in together :O)

Y'know, CC, I gotta say... you've changed your mind more than anyone else so far. :P

I do have one thing to say, though: it's either Final Fantasy X or X-2. I know, I'm being nitpicky, but I set the rule at the start and now I gotta make sure I enforce it for everyone. So pick one or the other, or assign them specifically to tracks.

If you've never ripped those games, though, let me warn you that FFX-2 is easier to rip, but has only ten cutscenes in the whole game, only some of which are even useful. FFX is harder to rip, but has upwards of fifty scenes (I forget the exact number), so no footage issues there. I don't have a problem with either game being used with that song, as I think either could work very well, but I just wanted to give you a heads up on what you'd be getting yourself into.

Oh, and a side note to Addy and Kit... if either one of you tries to put Pokemon Snap in my project, I'm-a whip out the Wooden Cooking Spoon of Disembowelment on yer asses. :evil:

Hope everyone's doing well~!

In that case, I'll go with X. I always like to meet challenges. ^_^

And yes, I do change my mind frequently. It's one of my quirks. ^_^

*I think...*
