Zarxrax wrote:Any of you other guys forget how to write in cursive? I mean I can still do my name and stuff (kinda, i usually just make up some bullshit scribble for the 'z'), but for the most part I can't really write much in cursive anymore. Isn't that the most useless form of writing ever created? It doesn't even make any sense, because EVERYONE writes it differently, and then you cant read shit that anyone wrote if they wrote it in cursive.

I can do my name in cursive, sorta, I have to stop and think about what I'm doing, but other than that, no clue. I probably know how to make maybe half the letters. The rest of the time I write in... well, it looks like print, but all my teachers assure me it's heiroglyphics. I never capitalize, and vary between cap and regular often. Whichever one comes easier. And, like a picture of me, I have none online.

My handwriting has been compared unfavorably to hieroglyphics.

My handwriting is a joke. Its about 2 steps above chicken scratch. I'm left handed so its hard to have decent handwriting because you have to push all the letters. My writing has a jagged and forced quality to it. /crutch

I type with the middle finger of my left hand, and the index and middle finger of my right. Its kind of an advanced hunt-and-peck technique. People marvel at how fast I type, with just 3 digits.

I wrote this post in 8 seconds.

Mine's pretty much the same :( Having to write stuff out at work has only made it worse, as I try to write as quickly as possible. I only know two people with worse handwriting, and one of them has a motor skills dysfunction and the other has a motor skills dysfunction and is a doctor :|

I can't seem to find the scan of my insane Statistics final cheat sheet, so this is the only digitized representation of my handwriting I have on hand:

(The camera was borked at the time.)

Doesn't really reveal much, I know. Deliberate brush strokes aren't the same as everyday handwriting...

That's statistics? Uh.... Right. So scrap that business major, time for something a bit friendlier, like english.

Ha ha, STDs. I always abbreviated it as "st devs".

And damn, your notes make statistics a lot harder than I remembered it. And I got a C. :/
