I only use them at conventions. And only at cons where I'm not widely known (which are few and far between.) Like ACEN, where staffers in my same department don't even know me. Or when I feel like displaying all the adult themed badges I got from Bob Dejesus. A good number of cons I goto however I don't even bother carrying my badge around with me since I don't need it to get in anywhere usually.

Generally though, they just take up space and collect dust.

Like 'em, never wear them around the neck though, I just use it for my keys in my pockets and easy retrieval.

Plus I can swing it around :3

I only use 'em at cons, mostly because it's easier to keep track of it. I need to wash my Dragoncon Staff Lanyard, as it smells something fierce. I'm definitely going to have to not be staff there this year, though. I like actually enjoying my con too much.

No.

I'm fine with clips.

And yeah, big huge fukkin comp badges are annoying. I'm so small, they're like a fourth of my torso... @_@

I wear them at cons... It's more bothersome when they're off after the weekend. You have that ghost accessory feeling going on. Though if you're used to having a camera around your neck, i suppose you wouldn't even notice the small weight after a while.

I like 'em, at least for conventions. I've lost a couple of badges before due to clips :\

I've used one once, unless my Wii-mote's wrist band counts that is. It was at CES a couple years ago. For me it was perferable to clipping my badge to my shirt as there were no good attach points.
