Morphing effect

Postby u_queen » Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:14 am

I've seen it in several AMVs and I've been wondering how can this effect can be done, or what program is used for it.
Here's an example (not exactly anime ¬_¬):

.. i wouldn't mind a copy of that program myself;
its not in Magix, Ulead, MGI, Corel Paint series nor JASC softwares .. they don't allow moving the POINTS on the second image with these programs.!!

Morphing in AE

At the bottom you find some usefull links, like to the freeware product "Winmorph". I tried it years ago. It was nice, but I never really used it in a video.

Welcome to 2003.

Used an external program called Winmorph or some bullshit. Extracted images and morphed them in the program, and exported back into Premiere. Old school style. AE can do this kind of shit no problem in realtime with the right plugins. Cycore has a good morph plugin for example.

You could try using Elastic Reality, it's a program specifically designed for morphing. It uses masks, kind of similar to the After Effects way.

I worked quite a lot with flash and i don't think it has such a function (and if, its not very often used)

I'm kinda interested at an morphing effect too,
I guess you could it call more likely a shape changing effect, just like in the the credits of spoil.
Somebody knows how it is possible to transform text into something else ?
