I just started watching this last Friday... funny stuff. Anyone know what the deal is with the alternate retelling being produced by another animation house thing?

Are you sure it's not just like a bonus episode? I'm not really sure what kind of "alternate retelling" of the story they could do, unless they decided to switch the sister's personalities. Even so, that wouldn't be great.

According to the ANN entry and the discussion on the animesuki boards it's an alternate retelling that was actually announced as a series before the first episode of this season aired.

.. its the -lack- parental guidance on both sides of the Minami families that makes this show a success .. the only limitations to their deeds are their fear of punishment for crimes they don't understand - hehe
