Once again, thank you for your input, and the links were much appreciated.
Although this site does have overall better quality AMVs than You-Tube, it does not, however, have the same in-site streaming video capabilities. Now, I realize that because the videos here are for download, that means increased video and audio quality. True. But streaming video is much more user-friendly and easily accessible. It really is a trade-off, but there are already a lot of good AMVs on this site, so why not bring the best ones to the masses? That is exactly what the Best AMV Awards is aimed at doing.
To respond to your expectations of what can be found on You-Tube, you may be surprised. Some of what we found was (although often low in video and audio quality) was pretty good. Just wait and see what we've found, then feel free to agree, criticize, or whatever you want.
In future sets of awards we will be sure to not only search You-Tube, but also this site, for the best AMVs we can possibly find. We will continue to repost those videos on our You-Tube and DailyMotion channels, so if you like what we are doing, please keep updated. We will begin posting the videos (starting with #10) within a week.
If any of you guys would like to submit yours or any other specific AMV for consideration in the next batch of awards, please get in contact with us through this site, other sites, or e-mail us at
deathbysp4m@gmail.com.
P.S. The "Good" example is an excerpt from an AMV that is still under development by R3DF4CT10N. He's pretty good at the instrumental parts, but it's a work in progress. We used it so we wouldn't give away any of our top 10. Thanks for your comment, and I'm sure he will take it into consideration.
