What song was No.1 on the day you were born?

Postby Mudbug » Thu Dec 13, 2007 3:25 pm

Bit of fun here, have you ever done this? http://www.thisdayinmusic.com

It shows you what song was at No.1 on the day you were born.

(Go to 'Birthday No.1' at the top of the site).

My number 1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

Some songs and days are better than others!

Well, I have certainly heard many covers of the last one, I never even heard of the other two

"9 to 5 (Morning Train)" by Sheena Easton in both the US and in Australia

Don't think I've heard either of them. :? Though I've heard something by both artists, at least.

Marvellous! - The Twelfth Man featuring MCG Hammer
Deeply Dippy - Right Said Fred

Interestingly enough, when I was trying to look for this option, I stumbled onto events that happened on certain days. I found out that Kurt Cobain was cremated on my 2nd birthday =O
