Purple transparent shapes in my video from Xvid?

Postby The Zero Saber » Thu Oct 31, 2002 1:15 am

I followed the All Things Video guide's dealy on using Xvid for encoding divx video word for word. My source video was a very clean looking 440, 330 video, in huffyuv, in yuv colorspace. However after encoding it using the xvid codec, using all the settings and steps that was in the guide, I get purple blotches all over most of my video, whether it's a constant bitrate or a 2 pass vbr. Anyone else have this problem? Btw, thanks for making the guide downloadable!

Your resolution has to be multiples of 16. Use a more standard resolution, like 512x384 or if you wanna keep it the same size just use 448x336.

Or use Divix 5.0.2

Same thing happened to me... Parts of a image would freeze and then slur purple, or purple macro blocks at the edges to the screen.
