How can i take the audio from a movie clip?

i want to take like a couple seconds from a clip i have and put it in the intro ot a video. how do i do that?

What format is the video clip? Because if it's an mpeg or an avi you can use virtual dub, if it's quicktime, wmv or windows media player I don't really know then.

Like Wired Knight said, it depends on what format the original is in, but the audio section of the guides goes through how to extract the audio from various sources - see the "Getting Your Audio" section. (I am assuming that you have audio and video of the clip and just want the audio.)
