WMM saving movie

Post by acr64 » Thu Nov 22, 2007 6:21 pm

Okay, what I try to do, is save my movie to my C Drive, and it wants to save to recordable CD.
I have 3 AMV's pending that have been for three weeks, and I can't freaking get them to be saved to the compy.
Any advice?

WMM Gives you a few options on how to render:

1: Click on File-->Save Movie File

You will get a box that pops up it will look like

2. Make sure you are using the option "My computer" the one I circled in red

3. Click Next, You will be able to choose your location

4. Click Next it will show you the details

5. Click Next

your project is now being saved

How far do you get before it redirects you?
After selecting my computer the next screen should look like this (original wmm not 2 mind you)

<img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/ ... /comp2.jpg">

Make sure that the Location is set to the hard drive you want to save it too, and not the location of the burner, recorder or whatever. If the location is wrong the hit the browse button to the right and you can select the location on your computer.

I save movie file, save to my computer, then file info, 5min. lag, and BAM, your movie is being created and saved to recordable CD.

I never had this problem and if your doing everything right then I dont know why it wont let you save to your computer, maybe reinstall? But there is one other option you can try. WMM lets you save it a couple of different ways one of the ways is to save it as an email attachment:

<img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/ ... /email.jpg">

After you select the save as email attachment option it will render, usually (or for me at least) the 489xxx mins remaining will go down in a minute or so my WMM renders usually took about 15-20 mins on a slow computer. After the save is complete you will get another box message that looks like

<img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/ ... omp2-1.jpg">
Click the link that says save a copy to my computer. after that you can select the location of the save and it should save a wmv copy of your project. I would recommend trying a small clip first to see if this will work for you. If this does work then once youve rendered all your projects I would try a dump/reinstall maybe. Though im sure theres others that know much more then me on the topic.

I'll try that, thanks.
And I can't uninstall it. I have one of those later versions.
