IRC Channel Moved

Post by Kalium » Tue Oct 30, 2007 12:59 pm

In the wake of several days of downtime from the only ZiRC server, we have found ZiRC to no longer be a suitable place for #AMV. Thus, we have decided to pick up and relocate to synIRC.

#AMV on irc.synirc.org

There is a CGI client, for anyone who wants it, right here.

All the same old rules still apply.

Why can't you choose a server that doesn't limit IP connections.
It's a real pain when there are more then three people on the same connection ;_;

Pretty much any server worth using will enforce anti-botnet measures like that.

Well is there any way for the server admins to add some kind of "privilege" or something if requested for a specific series of hostnets? :\ We have 5 computers in the apartment, all editors, and only 3 people can be on IRC :O

Problem solved. They happily increased our IP's limit.
