Premiere Pro Issue

Postby SSJVegita0609 » Sat Oct 13, 2007 12:50 pm

Hey all,

I've just recently reinstalled an old version of Premiere Pro (7) that I used before I stopped editing. Upon initial installation everything seemed to work AOK. Then I installed AMVapp (possibly unrelated, I know) and now whenever I try to run Premiere I get an error during loading that states "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any valid editing modes. Please reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro and try again."

This error always occurs when the starter is loading "reverb6.dll"

Anyone know what may be going wrong? Thanks.

P.S. I've tried reinstalling with no dice.

1) For the last time, Adobe Premiere Pro has never gotten past version (CS)3. There has never been a "Premiere Pro 7".

I'm kind of surprised; usually when I find myself saying this, it's to a newbie.

2) It doesn't have to do with Reverb6.dll; it's just that that is the last plugin on the list of plugins to load, before it goes into the next step in the initialization process. Kind of like how Mup.sys is never actually the driver causing Windows XP startups to fail.

Unfortunately, I don't remember what you have to do to solve this one.

Yes, it's version 1. Me saying 7 is a force of habit from back when it was the only version and people just called it since (I think) it came out after Premiere 6.5.

Ahha!

Aparently its an issue with the Combined Community Codec pack. Uninstalling it fixed it.
