Blank Screen with Vegas 7.0

Postby videl » Sun Sep 23, 2007 12:43 pm

Hopefully someone can help, i've converted some clips from divx to lagarith to work in Sony Vegas 7.0.

In Preview mode, the clips show fine, but when i change it to good view (or export it) certain parts of the clip will just come up blank (this is the same clip not seperate ones)

if anyone has any idea what's causeing it and how to solve it, i'd be greatful.

I might be wrong, but the fact that you used recoded divX clip could be the problem.

Yep,you're wrong. I've done recompressing many times now (though that had no point,I was just checking quality and stuff o.O),with many different sources.

@videl - Since preview mode shows fine, then project settings might be at fault.

It may take 10 minutes or so,but could you please input your :

1. Project settings.
2. Footage stats.
3. Final render stats (stats of file that shows up blank)
4. Your machine specifics.

That would help a bit.
:D I like laughter ;DD

I've had this problem a lot. It may be the clips thing.
I usually have this resolved when I redo the clips, saving them in Huffy. Try that.

Vegas doesn't seem to like lagarith..

I've had sum problems like that before and it always gave me a black screen after rendering, just when I saved it with Draft or preview quality is showed up. I solved this problem by using Huffy instead..

i have found that if vegas has a problem with lagarith the easy fix is to just recompress those problematic clips to huffyuv, and vice versa..
