AE 7.0 stretches my clips without asking (+more trouble)

Postby Bauzi » Wed Sep 12, 2007 4:18 pm

Hey,

After Effects stretches my Premiere Pro exports in the kompositions.
The settings for the komp are:
720x480
29,97fps
Square Pixel

Premiere Pro exports stands at the same. So I don´t get it why the images get stretched and I can´t work that way!
I mean: Look at this:
(before)
http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/3517/03ff4.jpg

(after)
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2402/04jd1.jpg

I looked at the zoom settings in the timeline. They stand at 100%. wtf? Yes they are at 100%, but it looks like the ressolution was resized from a smaller won. This can´t be >_< They are at the same.

HELP!!!
I hardly won´t to make the rotoscope in Photoshop and to work with image sequneces the whole time. ;_;

are your AE settings using a 0.9 PAR instead of 1:1 PAR? (the square pixels that you're using in premiere)

and why are you using sqaure pixels for 720x480 footage?
shouldn't it be 0.9, or should I read over eadfag again?

First of all: I hate 720x480. Because I would have to use 0.9 and I always don´t -.-'

Yes

I was able to avoid it with using. A 1440x960 and resize it to 50% in AE. That´s jus so inefficent =/

So resize to 640x480 1.0 PAR... The current settings are wrong.

Well no it´s 16:9, but anyway the MEP settings are 720x480.

I remebered today that I worked for "Deus Machina" a lot with AE too. Well it´s a 13 minutes long video and had the same settings. I never had problems like this there. Everything was "smooth". Kinda strange =/

I guess that After Effects hates you now.
Did you remember to properly thank your software after making that 13-minute video?
