This is still going on? What's the big deal?

There is no "edit" button. Get over it.

It won't make any difference. There have been two occasions where it could have been needed. Those are now nicely covered up. It isn't needed for vanity. No one here needs to be vain. That's clear. Mistakes...? Yeah that can be annoying. But there's no reason you can't cover that up with another post. I'm pretty sure it won't kill anyone. Last time I checked, mistakes on forums were pretty non-fatal.

it would be cool to have a delete message button too, but that would go into the same pros and cons of an edit button

My suggestion would be to allow editing until the thread is viewed by someone and if no one views it within 30minutes, then the message is locked in place and cannot be edited. If no one ever saw the change that was made then  I don't see the harm.

Especially when you get those nasty [/img] thingys after your ~klinky thingy

opps, I really did not plan on posting that twice. >_<

Anyway, I guess I used to make a whole new post anyway, so I should not be complaning to much. I don't mind the not having a edit button for fixing my spelling though.

Always [ preview ] to check your post, and after 30mins you can then decide whether you should [ submit ] or not

THinking about the possibility, that there should come an art-section, it would be nice to have edit-button. Otherwise, when you draw something new, liks are all over your thread and it's extreamly hard to keep on track with them.

If there shoudn't be art-section, then why not. But if doublepost to correct my misspellings, I woun't hear anybody complain about it, hm?

And what if you put WRONG link or something.

tricky.

If you want to replace an image in an already-made post, simply replace the old image file with a new one that has the exact same name. The new one will show up where the old one used to be.

That is why you preview. To ensure you did not put the wrong link in the tag.

Really, there is no need for an edit button. It takes all of 10 seconds to skim over your post for errors, and that's if it's a long post, or you're anal, like me. ;)

I jsut can't undertand what harm it can do? Will it bite someone?

I've seen cases on other boards where someone will edit one of their posts that's already been replied to in a way that makes the person replying seem stupid, ridiculous, mean, etc.

And trust me, on a board this big, and with people floating around that clearly just want to start trouble, it WILL happen.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

If everytime that you edit post, there somes a notice of it in the sign? I mean to that posts sign only. One that you remove and so on.
