Final Fantasy X to DVD

Hi, i was just wondering how do i put the final fantasy x videos (ripped from the disc using ffx2mov) on a dvd to watch on a dvd player? as for some reason it doesnt work. error. I tried re-encoding to mpg but that didnt work.

What system are you running? What tool(s) are you using for the encode and burn? What was the error message? Do you have a DVD writer? When you say "MPEG", did you really mean to say MPEG2, or did you actually try with MPEG?

Simple answer: according to DVD-Video spec, you can't. Resolution is wrong, other wonkiness is present, etc. You have to reencode, or find a player that allows general file playing and supports MPEG-2. Even then there's no guarantee because who knows how the things were originally encoded.

Oh jeez, I should really stop posting without covering the bases.

When reencoding, you have to use a strict DVD-Video compatibility profile, such as the ones provided with TMPGEnc. Even though DVD spec includes support for both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, all the little things have to be in order or it won't work, which is why prepared templates exist.
