ok .. step by step ..
1) unzip to c:\VDMOD

* note: the Handlers can be loaded any time but, it is best if they are loaded AFTER the AMVAPP pack is installed.

2) click on the AUXsetup.exe ( for loading the Handlers. )
3) right-click on VirtualdubMOD.exe and send a short cut to the DeskTop.

.. leave VDmod alone, do not start it nor turn it on until AMVAPP is loaded properly.
.. re-boot if needed.

now click on vdMOD.
.. two screens should appear; one saying that this is -whatever- <click> and then another screen should appear saying that it may have found unAutherized Codec's, do you wish to proceed? <click> and VDmod is now Ready 8-)

Possible problems will only show up if the LapTop does not have either 3DNOW and/or MMX. those OPTIONs can be set by your computer, zipped and transferred to his computer. just Zip your copy of vdMOD and have him unzip it and load it into his laptop.

8-) simple, yes .. bullet proof .. umm .. no! [ at least you know which problem's your fighting; the Options Panel Settings. ] 8-)
