Anime Evolution AMV Contest Results

Postby Vlad G Pohnert » Sun Aug 19, 2007 2:26 am

Hi all

I write this from the AMV room... The contest was a HUGE success and we filled the room to full capacity again (lineup started one hour before seating and people emptied cosplay as soon as it ended to get in line!)

So far I only announced the category winners and the judges and audience best overall will be shown at the end of the block on Sunday where we are showing all the entries.

This year the attendance in the AMV room has been fantastic and the AMV room now has become one of Anime Evolution's most popular events...

ALSO this year one of the sponsors has given us a real cool prize package, so for the best audiance and judges overall winners we have a software package (mac or window) called "Anime Studio". Thanks for "e frontier" for providing them

Winners as follows:

Best Romance/Sentimental
Beyonnd - Inverse/Reversed Studios - Princess Tutu

Grats to everyone who won this year. This year Vlad and I did not expect the turnout to be so high from last year for the other amv blocks we had going throughout all 3 days, like the AMV game show, comedy, drama, action, trailers, the panel and more. Yes we filled the AMV contest again for the 4th year in a row and by the time we got started even our dead zones in the room got packed. I was blown away and the attendance had a really good time. Wish you other creators were there to see it and hear the nice sound we had. Cheers to all who put in a video for us!

Thanks to everyone, this years contest was one of the best ever! Almost none left the room and stayed right to the end!

Once I get the software prizes, I'll be mailing off the trophies (probablyearly sept) to all those who weren't present

It's great when you can take out two letters and change the meaning of two people's posts.

Well, the AMV theater IS the most romantic part of the con, with the dim lighting and sensual music. Take a girl to the Romance/Sentimental block for a first date, and who knows what could happen...
