NEC/Mitsubishi 19" CRT Model FE991SB

^^ This gets my vote for best bang for the buck CRT above everything else.

It'll even do 1600x1200 @ 76hz :)

A pair of those would rock.

Newegg has the white version for $265 + 30 shipping.

Get two CornerStone P1500's off Ebay :} oh man... Moire patterns ahoy, but it's nice to have 1600x1200 @ 85hz.

Not all people are bothered by a refresh rate in the mid-70's, though I must admit, I can't stand anything below 85hz myself, for any extended viewing.

If it were me, I'd run at 1280x960, whether using one or two.

However, I don't compromise when I don't have to.

Heh, I should rename that pic "taxdeduction.jpg" 8)

I don't know what I'd do without my 21" Sony 500ps... 1600x1200x32bit at 85Hz is a beautiful thing.

And, hey... if you think you can't afford a 21" monitor, you haven't been looking hard enough. I got my Sony for $250 including shipping.

well, you thought the mac thing was bad, look at this
http://www.sonystyle.com/home/item.jsp? ... emid=51241

I like how its 'true 16:9' and yet somehow the resolution works out to 1280 x 768. Do the math, that's 16:10 like the mac >:/ and I'm sure they're not using 16:15 pixel ar
