Slipknot MEP{Lawlz, I was young and needed the money -_-}

First off I wanna say this, THIS IS NOT A BAND MEP, I just figured it would be a decent title for the fact that people would think it IS a band MEP

Ok now for the story behind this:

I was lying in bed one night (about 3 nights ago) and an idea stumbled into my head, because being the creative genius that I am.. Ideas are always brewing...anyway, I got the idea of an MEP showing all the literal and Metephorical ways of Knots or Tying...

Need Examples? Possibly, because it'll probably make it sound less lame.

"Tying the knot" Refers to Being married. Track about love and marriage... or possibly the arguments and turmoil that come along with marriage.. whatever

"Tying up loose ends" refers to.. finishing.. well.. unfinished business.

"A knot in your throat" Refers to.. wanting to say something, but just not being able to...

These are just three examples along the metaphorical circuit. The literal would of course be things like

Hanging a noose.. to symbolize a death USUALLY hanging <_<

The people doing the Tracks would choose the songs they use.

What I love most about this idea.. is that it had the potential to cover all of the Genres in one neat little package: Romance,Comedy,Horror,Serious,Character profile maybe..

This is also very important...If this Idea is complete shit, PLEASE TELL ME NOW... to save all the fumbling around and waste of any Extra time :D

Oh and BTW.. No deadlinesa of any sort in sight, for I am still busy with the Undercover MEP..I just wanted to get this out there before I forgot the idea.

Yeah, personally, this would be a really "ehhh" idea. Way too metaphorical, there is being "philosophical" and "deep", and there is just being silly, and this idea is that way.

That... and the obsession over nooses/knots sounds a bit emo if you think about it.

It's not a bad idea, necessarily, but rather something you'd put together with a close-knit group of your editor friends containing just a few segments interpreting the most important meanings "knot" can have.

I'll say it probably wouldn't work. Too many people would just ask wtf it was all about ,and not read the info. Besides, while metaphorially is the main focus of Clow's Collection, I think is going waaay to far out there.

But it was a good idea. Make an AMV out of it. :wink:

sorry, suicide is emo. if you don't have the strength to go on living by your own will power, you're an emo to me, period.

emo is a form of music, a form of music that centers around people being angsty and going *way* overboard on emotions.

music deals with emotion, yes, but emo music exaggerates the emotion into unbelieveable proportions, which those of us with life experience realize *ARE* exaggerated emotions.

However, young teenagers don't always realize this, and they tend to believe that life is all about having super drama-filled relationships with people, to the point of causing them to lose all faith in humanity, society, and life itself.

Such emo songs also push this image forward, that "there is no hope", "the only thing to live for is love and it will always fail", "why does everyone hate me", etc.

while there are some people who truely do have very sad lives and it's not something they can change (abusive parents, being raped, having family members die, terminal illnesses like myself, etc.), and they are fully entitled to say "yes, my life sucks", there is a much higher number of teenagers who in fact, have amazingly sheltered/great lives compared to so many others, and yet abuse this emo music and the message it portrays to make themselves feel as if thier life is horrible;

in most cases, leading to suicide.

Hanging is used for killing criminals, yes; however the stigma is *much* more wider used in today's era for suicide, especially in big city nations.

Well.. the thought here was as a form of execution..Suicide by hanging really hadn't even entered my mind. But just because somebody is suicidal doesn't mean you can call them emo. that is just wrong.

your in MEPs and your allready leading other MEP's are you trying to overburden yourself? If your planing to drop from my mep then plz do so sooner instead of later.

Don't bury yourself with amv work, you will regret it later.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
