Ah, yes, I'm also going to need the extension >_>
I have had no extra room on my computer for a MONTH D:
*blames it all on her external harddrive shutting down and losing all that free space T_T and her secondary internal harddrive disappearing off the face of the earth ;_; *
I'm hoping to get at least 20 Gigs free to complete this @_@ *hopes it takes less than that*
Curse you limited harddrive space! DX

I had a burst of inspiration in editing today and surprised myself by completing my segment. There are still some technical things I need to clean up before I submit the final version, but the editing will likely stay the same.

It's a pretty simple video, but I hope you guys like it.

I liked it, lol. There was something I felt like mentioning though since it was bothering me. And that were the Little Black borders all around the Video. Most Animes have those right off the DVD's. Either crop them in avisynth or directly in your Editing program to get rid of them ;p

:O

Thanks for noticing (actually, a lot of the good Furuba videos on this site don't bother to get rid of those borders, so it's not surprising that you would mention it), but that was one of the things I had already noticed myself. When I edit, I usually just do the filters before I edit, and then do all of the cropping after I'm completely finished. Since my track hasn't been approved by u_queen yet, I was going to wait on cropping and resizing. No point in going the extra mile if she tells me I gotta change something. ;p

I really like it. I've updated the first post with your beta. It seems that everybody has pointed what I would tell you (just technical stuff). The clip shows a vey deep relationship (forget about Tohru, Yuki saved Kyo ) that's what counts the most.

Savvy despite of your HD problem I'll still send you the new caps ^o^

*EDIT*

That could be nice, as long everybody likes their usernames (I like mine of course ^_^).

Oooh yay (I had actually made some new caps from the new betas...I picked out of the exact same screenshots as you on the furuba one XD *laughs* )

I finally got the new (hi-res) logo done this morning ^^ (1700x1300, just the way I like it >D the 'dream' is a different font than the original though...since I didn't have monolith on my computer >_> )
And now that I've spent the morning burning off several DVDs-worth of videos, I'm ready for more capturing XD
It is almost complete!! @_@
(I'm also using screencaps from my own video to make up the difference from the few final entries you have XD )
Look forward to the new beta either later today or tomorrow ^^

Well, actually, the username idea just got thrown out, as I came up with an entirely different idea. I'm uploading the intro beta now, but it will take some time, as I'm on dial up at the moment.

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn. Thought it would never finish!

Keep in mind that i DO know that there is some lip flap issues and some orphan frames, but I just wanted to get a general feedback about anything you might like changed.... I'm also considering dropping the AH My Goddess clips and replacing them with either Chobits/CCS footage..

does it have to have that much of a parody feeling? ._.

I just mean that overall I think that, even though this project has its comedy segments, an intro with scenes that're more objective in terms of the mood/atmosphere its giving out would be more appropriate. See I'm just worried that when the whole thing starts with two muscle guys hugging each other and crying we might lose a lot of audience from the start...

; ; My motherboard on my PC died, so I'm being forced to use an old laptop to use the internet. I was able to download your beta, chrono, but it doesn't seem like I have the right codecs on this piece of trash to watch it, nor are they compatible with Windows 98, or so it would appear.
I could hear the music, though, and I liked that much of it at least. ^^

u_queen, if my new motherboard doesn't get here from California in the near future I won't be able to do the audio mixing - this laptop simply can't handle it. It has 5GB HD space - TOTAL. ><

Ahh. See. That's what I though too. I think I said I was planning on dropping that and substituting another Chobits/CCS segment, and I think I'im going that way.

Any other ideas?

After conversing with Ingow, and making a decision, I've decided to let Ingow take over the intro. I feel as though Ingow would do a better job, as my anime choices are limited to only about 2-3 that have actual non-yaoi but still can be turned into yaoi characters.

(And, no, Ingow I'm not offended.)

I'll do what's best for the project, everytime! :D

Hehe awesome, thanks ^^

well, I love doing those kind-of-collages in AE, so I was editing on the intro today for practice/fun in case chrono would've had something against me taking over so I already have at least a raw version done.

My approach includes all the nicknames being mentioned one after the other randomly. I put one random fanpairing in the background for each name (they don't have anything to do with each other since the credits are already picking up on that). I just felt that the intro could be used to include some more favorite fan pairings just so that the MEP has a higher rate of having at least one shot of somebody's favorite pairing in it.

I could upload a beta now but I already changed most of the mistakes in the project file and put different images in it (there's also a kind of logo at the end etc.) Since rendering in AE takes my PC like 6 hours I'm guessing that I'll be able to present something nice to you all around tomorrow ;)

Don't worry, I still have HD and I can do the mix. But I want you as my beta tester (as I said, my style is kind of weird >.<)

What happend here??? I haven't even watched the intro when I read this.
But after downloading it, well...it was...yeah, Ingow was right. Because most of the videos fall for the romantic theme more than the comedy, however I want to thank chrono for the effort. If Ingow wants to make the intro is perfect for me ^_^.

Okay, I'm done with my final beta, all that's left is to tweak things to the final version. But to do that, I need some help from the rest of you XD
What I want from you is a heavy critique, since this is the last video in the project, and the one that will most likely stick with people when they finish watching. It must be perfect @_@

I want you to point out any flaws, indiscrepancies, places that move too fast or slow, perhaps too many effects or not enough, too many scene changes or bad transitions, or maybe something that you just don't like for no apparent reason! Tell me anything and EVERYTHING you can possibly find wrong with this AMV. It'll only help to improve it :3

A couple notes:
Since this is a multi-anime AMV, and most of my footage is widescreen, the ratios vary from anime to anime, and because of certain clips, the ratios cannot/will-not be uniformed. People will just have to live with the changing letterbox size. (as I've discussed with u_queen during the first beta)
In the beginning, there is a slew of screencaps. Those are from all the videos that showed before (and some from mine as well). Since my video was a conclusion video, I thought it best to include something from the other projects to sorta 'wrap things up'. (can everyone find their own video's screencaps? XD )

There's a couple places where I feel things move a little fast, but I'm not going to point them out. If you see them, and they bother you, then I'll know to change 'em. If you don't notice...then I'll just leave them alone >_>

Okay, I think that's it. Let the slander fly!! XD
You can PM it to me, or post it here, I don't really care :D
Thanks everyone! (this is gonna be the most awesome MEP evar! DX )
