Multiple Source Problems

Postby Smeagoldite » Thu Jul 19, 2007 9:39 pm

I'm up to date on all Movie Maker updates on the site, but for some reason my movie maker doesn't like when I put in media from more than one source on the timeline. It lets me put clips from many sources on the timeline, but when I hit play it refuses to play. It doesn't freeze though because I can tell it to stop, but it doesn't play it. It even does it with a basic wmp audio file and a picture file. Any ideas?

It does it with all media files. I was trying to make one that consisted of a song and animated picture files, but it does it even with still jpeg files and a wma file.

Yes, putting files from multiple media on the timeline and then trying to export it causes an error. I'm thinking I might just need to invest in another movie maker, or retire and just watch others' creations. >.<;

Aww, don't do that. Go download Magix Movie Editor's demo. It has 30 days on it to evaluate and you might be finished by the time the trial is over (hopefullly :roll: ).

Even if he does finish before the trial of magix runs out he wont be able to export in any form until he buys it. Its one of the downfalls to magixs trial version, but the program itself is only $50

$50 is too much for me. I've got some good vids to my name already. I'm getting a new comp in 2 years, so maybe I'll continue making videos then. Until then, I think that I'll be an active opinion giver I guess.

compared to the price of Premeire ($800-$1000) and Sony Vegas ($700-$1000)
and even their "consumer versions" are in the $80-$100 range

$50 is a pretty reasonable price for a powerful video editing program :/

if you keep an eye out sometimes Best Buy (or other software stores) will have sales on the "old versions" so its always a good idea to keep the option of spending money open...

save up if you need to.. its worth it imho
