Given that the discs have to be mastered and burnt, and any extension would delay this process which must be completed before any further steps can progress, an extension is VERY unlikely. We have a little flexibility with the nomination/voting period and the appearance of blank dvd's in my mailbox can be a few days after the deadline as I stated earlier (but don't push it...), but the video submission must remain firm.

Also, I've received a few mailers without a corresponding video registered on the site. I must remind everyone, to be FULLY entered into this contest you ABSOLUTELY MUST register an account (ones from last year are still active, minus any of you that needed <firstname>Pro accounts created for them. Those have been purged) and submit the video under the Pro contest. This is the same website that will be used for voting, so it's obvious that an account is required. And without a video entered, you won't be permitted to vote, nor will you have a video present to be voted upon =/

I've actually managed to fill my timeline and finish the basic concept of the video, the after effects part is what is left, which requires a lot of trial and error since I don't yet know *how* to get the effect I'm trying to get until I play with it, and a lot of time will be wasted on waiting for exports. But I was editing like mad this weekend while out of town and think I can finish barely on time to submit before I leave for Otakon this Thursday.

Is there any possible way that a small extension till Monday or Tuesday for the people that will be out of town for Otakon is at all possible? That would help tremendously, though it is my fault for procrastinating till the last minute, so I won't cry if its not possible

I mailed mine back at teh beginnign of the month. Thankfully since AX has the earliest deadline for contests I'm typically prepared well before AWA deadlines show up.

According to my trackign my amvs got delivered so I ASSUME I'm allright.

Wow, I surprised that I was actually able to finish this intime to send in for pro  I think this is the fastest I've worked on a video yet ... Although its not quite as polished as I'd have liked it to be, I did finish it enough to enter. I'm uploading the actuall video now, and I'll be sending the DVDs in the mail tomorrow, and then its off to Otakon ;p

Now for some much needed sleep

haha, I know it doesn't matter anymore since your video is in, but I would have been really mad if this had actually happened >_>

1.5 days remaining. I'm checking the website to approve accounts (both the website ones and the ftp upload requests) every few hours but please do yourself a favor. If you're desperately cranking away at your video (though if you are, why are you reading this?) please please PLEASE get your website account registered as soon as possible. It must be approved before you can even proceed to step two and get your ftp account so do it now rather than later.

Any ftp upload requests entered by tomorrow night will be honored. Please remember you have 2 days from its approval to finish your upload but the sooner the better. Click the "I'm done" button on your video profile page to let me know that you are, indeed, done so I don't accidentally delete your account in the middle of you uploading.

I left for Otakon right after I made sure It finished uploading in the ftp progtram, but did not do anything else on the profile page. Didn't see this post until now.

I did send in a copy of it with my DVDs also which you should already have, I just want to make sure I am infact in the contest.

Anyone that had any issues has been contacted and resolved and the discs are well into mastering. We'll let everyone know when they head out the door.

Just realized no one replied to this.

Nah, that's just us closing the account after you uploaded your vid. If there was a question as to whether or not you'd sent the video, I would have contacted you via e-mail.
