I was expecting garbage and I thought they did a decent job.
Anyone who complains about the robot's bodies isn't hardcore enough to actually love all the shows... including the most recent animated shows which had bodies very similar to this. No cardboard boxes kthnx.

Lots of product placement but although noticeable didn't detract too much. I also thought they got a lot done. Now to wait until the next one.

The exact same thing happened to me,

If you go in expecting it to be untolerable utter crap, You'll probably like the fact it was tolerable crap.

I did.

There were alot of things that pissed me off, but i shan't really go into them untill more people see the movie. Also it will take alot of work explaining it so i don't want to type it all out.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. The only expectation I had going into it was that there would be giant robots and explosions, and it definitely delivered

I was impressed with the movie.

Until it got to the really stupid/dumb dialogue.

But then, it's kinda hard to take cheesy dialogue away from Transformers; that's part of what is the Transformers expierence, right?

I also liked the tiny homage to the director's other movie, Armageddon. Did anyone else notice that one? xP

One of the guys I went with pointed that out.

I saw it last night and actually enjoyed it, as well. It was great that the movie, for the most part, didn't take itself too seriously. Much of the humor came from the movie poking fun at itself in various ways, which made for fun times.
