To me, it's a way for my imagination to go crazy. Anime is a concept without (ok, little) boundries. It makes me feel free. There is so much to it, that, I will never understand it all. And what's great, is that it's normally not tied down to rules where certain things are allowed and not allowed (until it's dubbed and brought to the rest of the world :( ).

Also, that it's so diverse. There is no age limit or restriction. You can almost do anything!

All in all, when I watch anime (depends on which one :D ) I feel more at ease than watching anything else. I've found that my liking of other shows has dropped dramatically since I've been hooked on anime. But that's no big deal

Thanks a lot! :D I definitely appreaciate the compliment. And it really was hard to describe. It's one of those feeling you know you have, but can't express in speech. :D

For me the reason I started to watch anime was becouse I wanted to learn to draw better. I used to watch it for fight seens ( DBZ mainly  )
now I can put up with anime that my friends bring over that have like no action seens but I don't care becouse it soothes me. Anime makes me feel good ( plus most of the girls at my school like anime, especialy the ones I draw 8) ). I ALWAYS FEEL GOOD. Becouse of anime.

That's beautiful. It's like if the Venus De Milo statue crashed into the Taj Mahal and then the Taj Mahal blew up into an explosion of Skittles.

Funny, the only things I hear from the few girls who like anime here is about Escaflowne (Vaughn) and Cowboy Bebop (Spike). Those seem to be popular for the gender. But I'm not about to make any sort of generalizations here. They're just really popular.
