Final Cut for Windows?

Post by maxamillion07 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 12:04 am

Will Final Cut be able to run on windows? The new Mac OS, Leopard, allows you to easily install a windows OS on it. Could this mean that Apple is giving PC lovers a chance to try out their software?

I have not heard any plan for any components of Final Cut Studio 2 to be ported over to Windows. It is possible that this may happen in Final Cut Studio 3, but I don't see it as very likely. I don't believe any Final Cut product has ever run on Windows, and I don't think Apple is interested in competing with the other popular suites on their own turf.

As an aside, I am so glad premiere is returning to mac.

Whoa, seriously? If that means the return of the QuickTime Effects (one of the only things about Premiere 5.1 that I miss), then it's good news for us Windows users too.
