XX is the chromosomal makeup of "female." XY is male.code_chrono wrote:I'm not sure what the significange of the XX is, and unconventional seems a little overused of a word. But I'm annoying and have no taste, so just disregard my opinion.
(I was seious about the disregarding opinion thing)
It's all in the genes.

Aiyah. lol... I'm not sure anyone's going to be 100% happy with any title we manage to come up with, it's an awfully charged subject, even now, so many years after the women's rights movement.
If anyone would like to help me come up with ideas, I'm trying to come up with something that conveys the fact that we're trying to show women outside of the general societal archetypes. To this end, I've been looking at antonyms for "stereotype" (which is how I came up with "Unconventional"), as well as some famous quotes by noted feminists, for inspiration.
Personally, I think the "XX" is going to be the easiest way to have people understand this MEP is about women. It doesn't have any derogatory connotations and it's PC, as well as fairly recognizable.
Perhaps MEP inXXclusion?
Epitome of Femininity?
Femininity Re-established?
Miss Atypical?
(I'm just going through the thesaurus entries here, feel free to jump in any time. )

That would be funny, actually. There could be a swimsuit segment, a formal wear segment...code_chrono wrote:How about the MISS AMV PAGEANT 2007
