DVD Help

Postby SergeEthanKaiser » Wed Jun 13, 2007 12:03 pm

I've been making small AMV's for a short while now. I used to use a home computer, a Dell that ran off windows XP. I used DVD footage before, decrypting them with DVD Decrypter, then putting them over to DVD2AVI, then Virtual Dub, and so forth.

Recently, I switched over to using a laptop, since I started college. Once I made that step and got everything set up, something was odd. When I decrypted the DVD's, I wouldn't get a picture in DVD2AVI.

Do you think it is because of Vista that it isn't allowing me to decrypt the DVDs anymore?

^_^ If you need any more clarification, just ask.

Thank you.

what company licenced the dvd you are trying to rip?

(and you can skip the dvd2avi step and go straight to virutaldub mod.. cause it should be able to read vob files - though if youre just using regular virtualdub i donno if it accepts vob files...)

DGIndex (which is what you should be using instead of DVD2AVI) works fine in Vista.
