Codec pack's

Postby vemalas » Tue Jun 05, 2007 10:12 am

Hi, what codec pack should i use that everything should work just all right? i mean games and amv creation. Just reinstalled windows and i need to know. CCCP? do i need to uncheck the ffdshow boxes or not? (i'v had a problem whit those when creating amv - they just pop out in every rendering, and i just hav like 10 or 20 in no time in my botom right corner!)
And if im instaling one, i need just one pack, right? and what about drivers? there is something to avoid or just download the newest? (hav new vga gf 7600gt, so www.nvidia . com and 7x series?)
Ty, sry for english:)

CCCP is good. You can disable the tray icons in the ffdshow configuration settings.

Yes CCCP is good because it was developed by anime fans, which means that you got pretty much everything you would want to have.

On the other side I always install only the codecs I really need manually. This, I think saves you from a lot of trouble with conflicts. I use ffdshow ONLY for decoding and up to this day I've never faced any problems (ok that's a lie, one time Ner0 decided to mess my system with its own codecs but it doesn't count )
