This is not the place to talk about that, Bauzi is going to stab you now
But you own at least 1 anime DVD, the one you won at SakuraCon.
But that's not the kind of anime that is good for this project.

*stabs* I´m nittpicky at visual quality ;)

Det-Chan wrote:I just realized...that probably I am the only one here who doesn't own any DVDs, only fansubs/downloaded stuff... Shocked

Don´t worry. Fansubs can´t look as good as DVDs, but nearly. If you have a high quality x264 footage you´ve advantages. XviD stuff is harder to clean up. Most of the time you need noise reduction and things like MSmooth to make wonderful colourareas, but than you need things like Awsharp to repair the damages of MSmooth. Kind of tricky.

I worked on my current project with some fansubed footage and it was the first time to try to make it look really neat. So I used most of the time this combination:

temporalcleaner() #fast grain reduction
Deen("w3d",3,3,5) #better grain reduction
MSmooth(strength=1,debug=true) #smooth areas
aWarpSharp (16,1,0.6,1) #sharps the images

You can also add things do make lines look more black (good after MSmooth) etc.
I´m not perfect, but I think that the combination above worked good. With XviD source too.

It's very simple, this is the secret code for the Austrian Nuclear Missile Department to launch an immediate attack on Hungary with the following extensions:
- Bomb the shit out of Hungary
- Leave no one alive
- Make Bauzi the king of the remaining wastelands
