Does FFX2MOV rip low quality?

Postby RIPmyprsoul » Fri May 11, 2007 3:48 pm

I've had this question for a long time now, so I'll just ask it. Does FFX2MOV rip the FFX FMVs low quality? It looks like they are fuzzy and not perfect. Is there any ripper that can rip it straight off the disc and have it look lossless and full quality?

The fmv ripper does just that and only that--rips the fmv's and nothing more. (It doesn't convert/compress the files any.) So the answer is no. It doesn't rip the fmv's in low quality. If the m2v files look less than impressive, then that's probably because they are. I highly doubt it's the programs fault. If I had to take a guess as to why the fmv footage quality of FFX might not look as good compared to other SE titles, then I'd place it on the fact that they crammed over 40 m2v files on a single layered DVD among other things.

As time consuming as it is, I recommend using some avisynth filters to improve the footage quality.

Thanks for your reply! I'll guess I'll take a try at filtering it.
