Good luck all :) (Kain, edit captain tsubasa!)

My first round video was an anime from 1981.

Is it ok if I mix (or rather remix) a 80's' music with an actual song ?

Interesting theme (and I was so close with guessing -_-;). I too am curious if we can use cover versions of songs.

Let me deliberate with my co-coordinator on this one. I'll get back to both of your shortly (like within the next few hours).

Could you explain that a bit more for me? Do you want to take a song from the 80's and alter it?

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is available in 1080p if I remember correctly.

I would like to take a song (mostly the vocals) from 80's and mix it with a song from 2000s.

Sweet. Really looking forward to editing this one! But there's so many songs to chose from and so little time... :uhoh:

Is a song from the 80's not an actual song? :|

My favourite song is an 80's song. I look forward to trying this round too, my favourite theme so far! <3

Yes, you can do this.

Can we use covers of 80's songs?

Yes, so long as lyrics are unchanged from the original version.

what if the original song is from 1980 and there is a newer version from the same band 2000+ can we use the newer version?

Yes, so long as lyrics are unchanged from the original version.

Damn, that actually makes it harder. There aren't a lot of 80s songs I can think of ideas for, but when you allow covers that really opens things up.

While I do plan to make this AMV awesome in every way, common sense tells me that I will be one of the 12. As a samurai, I am ready for a quick and sudden demise 'Prepare seppuku'

Doesn't using covers sort of beat the whole purpose of using something 'old'? :? Lyrics haven't necessarily changed so much over the time I think, but the instruments/rhythm/music has. Well, just my opinion but as i'm not even participating, whatever. xD

Can't wait to see what everyone can come up with this time ^^
