The Epic battle has begun.

Who in Group A can dazzle the judges and leave them starry eyed, and which contestants will fall short and leave them glazed over.
This Starsmith remix is like a much more subdued drum and bass version compared to the popular dubstep choices that have been rather popular to edit to recently. But will this mix require a different approach or will a twitch/effects heavy style rule the day? Only when those final renders are started will we have a glimpse of an answer.

Let the epic editing commence!

Thank you for the commentary Shin. To all our viewers out there, thank you for tuning in. This is Bob Uecker, alongside Shin Buttowski, bringing you pre-game coverage of this remarkable event. And boy do we have a show for you tonight - I haven't seen tension like this since the Cold War. The stakes are high but that doesn't seem to be affecting our contenders at all, if anything it seems to be pumping them up even more! Never in my life as a professional commentator have I seen such a determined group of individuals. Let's take a look at our contenders shall we?

Group A seems to be composed of a diverse group of individuals - all hailing from different parts of the globe.
First up on our roster is a man who needs no introduction.
That's right folks, group A is home to none other than Kyssifur the Great. Kyssifur flew out from his homeland of Hungary and one can only assume that he's eager to show the world what he's got. I certainly hope that he doesn't leave the world Hung-a-ry for more!

Next up on our roster is Evil Environmentalist. Evil E. comes from the great lands of Texas, where cows and horses roam freely. Seriously, cows roam freely. I went down to Texas not long ago to visit Grandma Uecker and boy I tell ya' what, those cows sure can sneak up on a fella! Anywho...Evil E. is a newcomer and will have to go the extra mile if he's to make a name for himself. I for one am a huge supporter of the underdogs. With that said, I'll be keeping a close eye on this young man. Will his sinister gardening be enough to get him by? Or will he be "rooted" out of the competition? Only time will tell.

Take it away Shin...

I don't get what's SO difficult about the song. I can think of a couple of interesting things I would attempt to accomplish within the week. I don't see it as subdued at all (MAYBE relative to other remixes) but this would definitely suck if you only had two hours.

This is true. A week is a long time to edit 2 minutes if you commit. However, this remix is kind of terrible imo so it's gonna take some gusto to push through this song. xD

I'm the same way.

Speaking for myself, as a "not very good" editor, whether it's 2 hours, 2 weeks, or 2 months there's definitely diminishing returns on time spent. I'm actually kinda interested the exact degree of amazing I'll be able to craft.
I've never worked under this exact length (one week) of deadline.

Well, it really depends on what kind of 2 min you want to make and how much time you spend on it.
One week is enough, for me. But for 2 minutes, not 3 or more ^^

If this song is considered such horrible torture, it shall be interesting to see how you all react to the rest of the music. :ying:

It's not that it's a bad song, it's just a bad song to edit to =p I'm also tired of just about every single remix of this song... over-hyped :P
Can't really complain though, I'm pretty flexible when it comes to editing so I'll try to make something decent. Gotta give the people a good show

hehe, from the way some people are reacting you'd think they were given nails on a chalkboard. :)

You should link them to the troll songs that you cut.

Yeah, I didn't make it a public thing, but I did clear out any troll songs. By troll songs I mean 18kbps quality and music that only Fall_Child42 or Otohiko would edit to.

I don't think anyone wants to hear static noise with a woman screaming (or failing at opera) in the background D:

Plus I'm pretty sure I deleted those and cleansed my PC with holy water several times after I received them. But yeah, who wants to edit to a song from the Carebears ripped directly from a youtube video?

If I would've known that people wanted indie stuff that no one had ever heard before I would've asked Brad and just turned this into the AMV IC. Because everyone loved all of that music.

All.
Of.
It.
